DC Una inaugurates three-day ‘Bharat Nirman’ public information campaign

Deputy Commissioner of Una, Abhishek Jain today inaugurated three day long ‘Bharat Nirman’ public information campaign organized by PIB, Shimla with the help of other media units of ministry of information and broadcasting at Ramleela ground, Amb.

Lauding efforts of organizers for organizing this event, while addressing the audience, Mr. Jain stated that such campaigns are helping the government to effectively and smoothly run the welfare schemes started for benefit of people.

Highlighting the role of campaign, Deputy Commissioner said that without the flow of information about government scheme, people are not able to take their benefit. He pointed out that print and publicity material being distributed in the campaign are of high quality and very useful.

He asked the state official to also display and distribute publicity similar material in District Commissioner and Block Development offices as people daily use to come there in large number.

Conducting officer of campaign and Assistant Director of PIB, Shimla, Tara Singh informed that press information Bureau is organizing 16 such campaigns in north India and this is third in the region.

Thirty stalls depicting progress and information of various schemes have been set up in the PIC. Day was dedicated to Rural Development, MNREGA, Indira Awas, Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojana, Food security, Adhar & DBT and Land acquisition.

Director of Press Information Bureau Chandigarh Bhupinder Kainthala, and Ravinder Singh, Director of Directorate of Field Publicity Ashish Goel were also present in the function.
