For the first time in the history Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, celebrating its golden jubilee decided to introduce earphone to each member in the house to make the voice more audible.
Talking to media, Speaker of HP Assembly Brij Lal Behari Butail said that earphone would be introduced in the house for the first time as some members were complaining that they could not hear the discussion, debate, speakers directions and replies made by minister loud as it becomes inaudible some time.
“It was not to rid out from the frequent disruption in the house made by opposition and by the members from either side but being introduce for sake of convenience of members”, Octogenarian speaker who is prominent tea estate owner told media.
The state budget session is going to begin at Shimla from February 3 for which vidhan sabha staff was working overtime to prepare for two week long session.
Mr. Butail also convened the meeting of state administrative and security officers to help it with smooth running of the session and house as well.
In wake of heavy rush around legislative assembly special arrangement has been made. No major change has been made in the existing system to conduct the house despite slight changes of earphone inside the house.
Though speaker denied this step taken to rid out frequent disruption but it would prove weapon to treasury bench to conduct question hours comfortable as the replies during opposition protest could be make audible to the member of treasure benches make the sloganeering and noisy scene in the house irrelevant.
During last winter session held at Dharamshala, BJP protest caused much disruption seeking frequent adjournments which was condemned by leader of the house and Parliamentary ministers but the government had no option then.
