Shimla: A day after the Himachal Pradesh government made an official statement admitting that Aman Kachroo died due to injuries caused during ragging, the Supreme Court of India today ordered suspension of the then principal of Rajindra Prashad Medical College in Tanda for failing to avert the death. A bench of Justices Ashok Kumar Ganguly and Arijit Pasayat said the principal failed to prevent Aman Kachru’s death despite being alerted by the staff that senior students were indulging in ragging.
