Indian Meteorological Department today warned of heavy to very heavy snowfall in the parts of mid and high hills in Himachal Pradesh which is likely to affect life as it was mainly cloudy today.
The weather bulletin released here today, IMD issued warning that heavy to very heavy snowfall will occur at isolated places over mid and high hills of the state in next 24 hours. Moreover, it would not relent the life as heavy snowfall would occur at isolated places in the state.
The Met. office also forecast widespread rain or snowfall in the state in most of the places during next two days. There are reports of rain or snowfall on the high reaches of the state today as it was mainly cloudy. Gohar in Mandi district, Jogindernagar, Seobagh in Kullu district Manali- 3 mm each rainfall.
The cold wave remained unabated in this hill state as Keylong was low at minus 11 degrees in Lahaul and Spiti district, Kalpa minus 7 degrees, Manali minus 5 degrees, Dalhousie and Solan minus 0.4 degrees each, Sundernagar in Mandi district and Bhuntar in Kullu district minus 0.2 degrees each, Shimla, Hamirpur and Chamba zero degrees each.
Una and Kangra recorded 1 degrees each, Bilaspur and Nahan 3 degrees each and Dharamshala 5 degrees.
