For targeting Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in regard of corruption charges, about 24 activists of youth Congress today lodged protest against Rajya Sabha leader Arun Jaitley, outside Deputy Commissioner office here who were also allowed by the police to burn effigy of Mr. Jaitley.
The protest was led by vice-president of state youth Congress Ashok Saini. The protesters also burned the effigy of Mr. Jaitley and other BJP leaders for allegedly making false charges on Mr. Singh. District administration said that it had allowed the youth Congress activist to lodge protest as they had sought permission for the protest much earlier.
The protest end peacefully.
