State government to come out with white paper on BJP misrule : Virbhadra Singh

Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh conclusively stated that his government would not break down to any pressure and it was committed to ensure that rule of law prevailed in the state.

Virbhadra Singh was addressing a public meeting at Panjawar in Haroli assembly segment of Una district on Thursday after laying foundation stone of primary health centre to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.87 lakh.

Mr. Singh said that the opposition party was personally targeting him on unsubstantial issues and working on pressure tactics to obstruct the ongoing investigations in various scams and misdeeds of the previous government. But the present Congress government was fully firm to expose the wrong doings and take stern action against those found guilty.

He said that government would soon come out with a white paper on all the misdeeds of the previous BJP government and all the scams including illegal land deals would be thoroughly examined and investigated.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh said that Una district was being given priority in the matter of the development and the work on various projects including Rs. 922 core Swan River channelization had been started in the district. Besides channelizing the Swan river, all 73 tributaries of Swan from Daulatpur to Santokhgarh bridge would also be channelized under the project. He said that Una district is also being developed as industrial hub in the state where a large number of industrial units are coming up.

Apart from giving boost to industrial activities it is also ensuring employment avenues to the youth of the state. Mr. Onkar Sharma, vice-chairman, Agro Packaging, welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for bringing the biggest Swan River channelization project for the state.

Mr. Ranjeet Rana, Haroli block Congress president also thanked the Chief Minister for speedy development of the Haroli assembly constituency. Mr. Thakur Singh Bharmouri, forest minister, Mr. Kuldeep Kumar, chairman, state finance commission, Mr. Virender Dharmani, President, district Congress committee, Major General Vikram Singh, CMD, ex-servicemen welfare commission, Mr. Ravinder Fauji, president, and other prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
