Forty percent seats would now be reserved for special category travelers such as senior citizens, physical disabled commuters and women in HRTC and private buses from December 20.
The new reservation rules would be applicable for buses plying within 50 kilometers radius, an official spokesman here said.
Bus operators have been asked to mark seats reserved for special category travelers on left side in the buses and also to make sure that the instructions are followed.
