Shimla: Ending the suspense over its candidate for the Hamirpur constituency, the Congress on Saturday announced former cricketer Madan Lal to be its knight to take on Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s son Anurag Thakur on their home turf. This also puts to an end rumours about film star Preeti Zinta being fielded from here. Madan Lal currently coaches Delhi Giants in the Indian Cricket League and is son-in-law of the owner of Mohan Meakin, Solan.
