In a major development occurred today, State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau booked Bemloe Development and Infrastructure companies Pvt. Ltd. in a criminal case in a FIR registered at a police station in Shimla, a senior official confirmed.
Additional Director General, of SV & ACB Prithvi Raj said in a press statement issued today that case was registered under Sec. 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC and Section 33 of Indian Forest Act at Police Station.
“It has been revealed during the preliminary enquiry that a forged application and false documents were prepared to cheat the government and to give wrongful gain to the Bemloe Development and Infrastructure Company Pvt. Ltd. and wrongful loss to the government by hatching a criminal conspiracy”, the official said.
During probe it has been found that the road is not used by the applicants and the applicants have deposed that they have not signed the application containing request for repair and maintenance of the forest road.
Prima facie it seems that Bemloe Development and Infrastructure companies Pvt. Ltd. is the only beneficiary from the repair and maintenance of this path, moreover, he said kacha path has been widened enough to accommodate the beneficiaries so that vehicles can ply in the forest path which is against the forest laws so that the path can be used for commercial purpose by selling the flat constructed over the mentioned land by the company, he added.
Hailing the action by the vigilance Deputy Mayor Shimla, Tekinder Panwar said that CPI(M) has been sought registration of case as he himself brought up this matter in the state high court seeking detail probe and FIR early.
