Himachal Pradesh government would be shifting 43 tainted officers to non-sensitive posts, this was stated by the state governemntbefore the high court of Himachal Pradesh here today after filling the lists of such officials before the court recently.
Filling the oral reply before the division bench of Mr. Justice Kuldip Singh and Mr. Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary today, state government disclosed that they were taking action against such officers very soon.
Copy of order received from court said that Additional Advocate General M.A. Khan has stated that affidavit was filed before the court on November 16, 2013 by Chief Secretary of stay on the compliance of its earlier order of November 14, 2013.
“The process is going on for shifting 43 officers of doubtful integrity who are posted on sensitive posts to non-sensitive posts”, the state counsel stated in the court.
The state also sought time for taking the action against the official, the court fixed hearing on December 2 giving two weeks time to Chief Secretary to further file an affidavit before it about shifting of 43 officers of doubtful integrity to non-sensitive posts within minimum period.
The court order came in a civil writ petition filed by former Drug Controller Sher Singh against the state of Himachal Pradesh filed in year 2010. The petitioners have been sentenced in a graft case by the trial court alleged that state was adopting different policy to proceed with the graft case after delaying the prosecution of other officials booked or caught in graft cases.
The earlier order on November 14, 2013 of the high court expressed displeasure about the inaction of the concerned secretaries of the departments of personnel etc.
