Himachal scored 92/1 in reply to J&K’s 178 in Ranji Trophy match

A 45 runs solid unbroken 2nd wicket partnership between opener S. Singh and number 3 batsman P. Dogra took Himachal to a comfortable position at stumps on the second day against J&K at HPCA stadium, Dharamshala on Thursday.

Replying to a rather small total of 178 by J&K, Himachal started nicely with Chopra and S. Singh till 47, when S. Chopra was brilliantly bowled out by seamer R. Punia. Chopra scored 35 runs (7 boundaries). At close Singh and Dogra were at the crease with 24 and 29 respectively. On close day 2, with 92/1,  Himchal is still 86 runs behind J&K with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier J&K was bundled out for just 178 in 54.1 overs , thanks to 4 wicket haul for 70 of Rishi Dhawan and 3/31 of Vikram Malik. For J&K Rasool made 97 and A.N. Reshi  47 . None of other batsman could touch double figure mark.
