Mercury further going down in HP

The minimum temperature is keeping abnormally low in this hill state as it was minus 5.6 degrees Celsius at Keylong, district headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, which is coldest in the state.

The mercury was keeping 2 to 3 degrees below normal as minimum temperature is below 10 degrees in most parts of the state and in minus by 8 to 10 degrees in tribal areas. Keylong was coldest at minus 5.6 degrees and 4.6 degrees below normal last night.

Kalpa, regional headquarters of Kinnaur at minus 1.6 degrees and below normal by 2.6 degrees, Manali was also in minus as it recorded minus 0.4 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu district 2 degrees, Solan 3 degrees, Sundernagar and Chamba minus 4 degrees.

Shimla, Dalhousie and Hamirpur 5 degrees, Palampur and Kangra 6 degrees, Una and Bilaspur 7 degrees, Nahan 8 degrees and Dharamshala 10 degrees. It was mainly dry and bright sunshine in the state today.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hours.
