Man set local deity shrine on blaze

A man set an ancient shrine on blaze at Kmoli hamlet of lower Koti village, which falls under Rohru police station of Shimla district.

Police source said that Pagog Devta (deity), an ancient wooden carving temple was reduced to ashes as a man who was mentally abnormal set the shrine on blaze at 0400 hours this morning.

The man is identified as Nehru Thakur son of Karam Singh of same village. The police person at Rohru confirming the incident said that FIR has been booked against the errant person. The fire caused the estimated loss of R.s 2.50 to 3 lakh to the property of shrine.

Fire official said that they have no information of fire mishap as neither police or local people had seek their assistance yet.
