A businessman was shot dead in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district in broad daylight yesterday, police said.
Superintendent of Police Mr. Ravinder Sharma told that victim Mr. Vinod Jain had gone to his oil mill in Mehatpur town, bordering Punjab, when three unidentified assailants shot him from close range injuring him seriously. Mr. Jain was one of the leading businessmen and ran three oil mills in Phillaur town in Punjab also.
The incident occurred outside his factory. His staff rushed him to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Mr. Sharma said, “We are investigating the incident”.
