8 workers injured in cement plant at Darlaghat


Eight workers got burn injuries as a boiler unit blasted in the Ambuja Cement Plant at Darlaghat in Solan district, about 40 km from Shimla on Saturday, senior police official confirmed.

DSP Ashok Verma said that eight workers hailed from the nearby areas got burn injuries last night after a blast in boiler unit in Ambuja  Cement Plant during the night shift. One seriously injured has been rushed to PGI Chandigarh while seven others were admitted at Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital Shimla, reported out of danger.

Mr. Verma said that police registered the case and investigation to seek the reason of blast in the boiler has already started.
