NH-22, NH-88 restored for vehicular traffic

Shimla (Jan 10): The Hindustan-Tibet road (National Highway-22) and Shimla-Dharamshala road (NH-88) were restored for vehicular traffic after snow was cleared from the two roads today.

Shimla deputy commissioner Onkar Sharma said that the Hindustan-Tibet road was restored for vehicular traffic after snow was cleared from the road at Kufri and Narkanda.
Similarly, NH-88 between Shimla and Dharmshala was also restored for vehicular traffic after clearing snow from Totu to Dhami. Snow cutters have been pressed to clear snow from Shimla-Kotkhai-Chopal road, which is yet to be opened for vehicular traffic at Kharapathar and Khirkai.

Assistant professor (Orthopedic) at IGMC, Dr Major Kumar said that six persons were admitted to the hospital with snow related injuries after skidding on the road.
