Shimla-based IFS officer gets Bharat Jyoti award

Shimla (Jan 10): Delhi-based Indian International Friendship Society (IIFS) has conferred Indian Forest Service officer Satya Prakash Negi with prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award for his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in public life.

A Jharkhand-cadre IFS cadre, Negi is currently working as deputy director at the Forest Survey of India’s regional office in Shimla. An alumnus of Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Solan, he has done cross-disciplinary research in the field of forestery in general and mountain forestry in particular.
