Dharamshala, (Dec 23): Himachal Pradesh CHief Minister while speaking on the concluding day of the Assembly session here, said that as many as 63,283 people were employed during four years of BJP rule in the state.
Replying to a debate raised by Opposition leader Vidaya Stokes under rule 63 in the Assembly, he said that as many as 39,652 people were given jobs in government sector, while 28000 others were being employed in private sector. Chief Minister apprised the House that state government was trying to develop skill of unemployed youth so that they could either self employed or observed in private sector.
Accusing Congress of creating massive unemployment in the state, Dhumal blamed that the pervious Virbhdara Singh government signed MOU under FRBM Act in 2004 which banned recruitments in the government sector, creating large scale unemployment and shortage of staff in different departments.
He further said that more than 7000 PTA teacher (Parents Teacher Association) employed under Congress rule were continuing their services and state government was imparting regular salary to them and would bring regular policy for them in the next budget session.
Dhumal revealed that the state governed has been trying to involved industrial houses to sponsor and start additional professional training in government industrial training institutes.
Chief Minister said that government was constructing labour hostels in industrial areas having intake capacity of 1,000 each so that youth employed in industries could reside without paying to much amount for housing.
