RRC Dronacharya College of Nursing commemorates AIDS Awakening Day

Chamunda, 17 Dec: AIDS Awakening Day was observed by Red Ribbon Club Dronacharya College of Nursing Yol at the hostel campus near Chamunda. MD of the institute BN Raina said that the club was established on 16 Nov and has been active in social cause of HIV awareness and conducting rallies from Yol to Baroi to riase awareness among masses.

Team form blood bank Tanda led by Dr Arvind conducted blood donation camp on the occasion. District AIDS Programme Officer Dr RK Sood shared that any healthy person from age of 18-60 with the weight of 45 kg or above can donate blood and should donate blood, and it does not lead to weakness. He emphasised on the importance of open discussion on HIV. Health educator Nagrota Anjali emphasised on the difference between HIV and AIDS and implored on all to know their status in ICTC. A captivating skit on HIV and risk vulnerability among youth like drug abuse was presented.  Deepshika addressed youth on the problem of HIV, its relevance and role of youth. Charlie and team presented cultural performances.
