BJP Cong breaks into each others bastion in HP bypoll

Shimla, Dec 04:  Ruling BJP and opposition Congress in the state broke into each others bastion by winning one  seat each in the two assembly bypoll  for Renuka reserve and Nalagarh seat.

With three candidates fighting it out, BJP candidate Herdya Ram from Renuka reserve seat defeated Congress candidate Vinay Kumar by margin of 3526 votes. Total vote polled were 39157 where Herdya Ram secured 20804, Vinay Kumar secured 17278 and Sunder Kumar 1175. Congress Candidate Lakvinder Rana, two time looser from Nalagarh mananged to defeat BJP candidate Gurunam Kaur by margin of 1598 votes. Total votes polled were 55996 where Lakvinder Rana secured 28797 andGurunam Kaur secured 27199.
