HPU and Russian university signs MOU to share knowledge

Shimla, Nov 28: Himachal Pradesh University and Altai State Technical University of Russian Federation today inked MOU to exchange experience and scientific knowledge between the staff. It was done to strengthen the cultural, scientific and academic bonds between the two countries.

Himachal Pradesh University Vice Chancellor A.D.N. Bajpai signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of Institute of  Integrated Himalayan Studies Institute, with Councellor (Culture), Embassy of the Russian Federation Dr. Dmitry E. Chelyshev on behalf of  Altai State Technical University of Russian federation. The memorandum was signed in presence of Senior Research Scholar, Indian History, Religion & PhilosophyDr. Irina P. Chelysheva.

According to this MOU the collaboration would be called ‘Altai-Indian Himalayan Scientific and Culture Exchange Forum’. Under this program various activities would  be undertaken and forum would also publish international issue of journal and faculty exchange program.  Dr. Dmitry E. Chelyshev appreciated the quality of research done by the institute and the efforts made in establishing linkage with Russian universities. He further agreed to provide his cooperation in facilitating collaboration and signing of agreement with Moscow university in areas like Buddhist Studies, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Culture etc.
