Nahan, Nov 18: People in the state are facing erratic supply of PDS items, blaming the state government and concerned agency for failing to supply all item in its outlets.

It is worthwhile to mention here that state food and supply department could not get complete quota of refined oil and its refinery in Gujarat had suddenly stopped the oil supply during Diwali season. District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC) Sirmour and other districts could not make available the sufficient supply of items like Sugar, refined and mustard oil in this month.
Number of BPL Card holders in Nahan namely Kasim Begam, Anil Kumar, Hari Ram and Krishan Kumar lamented that refined oil was not issued last month also. When Himvani contact DFSC Sirmour Pratap Chand on phone he accepted that certain food items could not be made available and department was trying to provide the quota of sugar as soon as possible, as its supply that had been dispatched is likely to reach here next week. He also assured that black gram, dalgram, refined oil and mustard oil would also be made available within two days.
