About 90 per cent houses in the Village were reduced to ashes and the residents have been left in the open to face the harsh winter ahead. The area has already witnessed snowfall. The exact cause of the fire is not known but villagers believe the fire started from a house where dry grass and wood was stacked. Another inetrior village, Sarpara, in Rampur sub-division of Shimla district, is also said to have been devestated by fire, but details are not known.
