Nadaun (Sept 27): Inaugurating a three-day ‘Bharat Nirman’ public information campaign organized by the Press Information Bureau,
Shimla, at Nadaun, Congress legislator Sukhvinder Singh’ Sukhu disclosed that the Union government has sanction Rs 3.75 core APIDA spice park project for the town, which would create employment for at least 250 people.
Sukhu said the spice park would house six companies which will set up their units here to process local crop ginger and turmeric.
He informed that 300 kanal of land is to be acquired at Bada, and the matter has been taken up with ICR. He asked the farmer to switch over to ginger and turmeric as both crops are not targeted by monkeys, who otherwise destroy other crops.
