Shimla (Sep 8): Amid heavy police arrangement, students belonging to thte Left wing SFI burned an effigy of vice-chancellor ADN Bajpai in Himachal Pradesh University campus, lodging protest against the administration as elected representatives of the students were not being given charge of SCA office even 19 days after the poll.
The students have been protesting for past many days against the decision of the vice- chancellor not to allow oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Students Central Association. The VC was shown black flags by the students and was not allowed to enter his office today.
