Shimla (Sept 8): Vehicular traffic on the Hindustan-Tibet National Highway (NH-22) was restored today after a massive landslide at Trinkunalah in Kinnaur had cut off the area since Tuesday.

SP Kinnuar, Ashok Kumar told HimVani that heavy boulders came rolling down on the road while widening the road. Kumar said earthmovers were deployed by General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), a wing of Border Roads Engineering (BRO), to clear the blockage. The road is considered lifeline of Kinnaur district which remains snowbound for more than five months.
