Shimla (Sep 2): Shimla unit of CPI(M) strongly condemned the Himachal Pradesh government to innaugrate the ISBT at Shimla without basic fascilities.

Sanjay Chauhan, district secretary of the party, alleged there is no proper local bus services from different localities of the town to the ISBT and even from the old bus stand to the new ISBT. “Moreover, taxi drivers are charging as per their whims because the government has not fixed any rates from this bus stand to different places of town,” he said.

“Most of the buses coming from outside to Shimla drop passengers midway on the cart road or bye-pass on the pretext that they do not get parking place in the new ISBT because they are allowed to enter bus terminal only 15 minutes before departure,” Chauhan said. He said that this has put passengers, mostly comming from far distances with heavy luggage, at inconveniance.
