Job fair at Baddi on Sept 3

Shimla (Sept 1): In order to fill up 2,730 vacancies in different industrial units in the state, a job fair is to be organized on September 3 at the campus of Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Techonolgy at Makhnu Majra village of Baddi in Solan district.

Addressing media persons here today, labour commissioner Mohan Chauhan said that 19 employers from Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh of Solan district, four from Una district, two from Chandigharh, and one from Parwanoo would participate in it. Prominent employers having large number of vaccines include Tech Mahindra (Chandigarh), Competent Pvt. Ltd (Mohali), Birla Texitle Baddi, Dabur India Ltd. Baddi, Cadbury India Ltd Baddi, Micro Turner Parwanoo, Nestle India Ltd (Una), Sai Nath Export (Nalagarh) and many mharmaceutical companies.

He said out of these vacancies 1,100 are meant for general graduates or
polytechnic diploma holders, typing & computer skills, around 600 vacancies are meant for ITI pass candidates with different trade and 500 for unskilled workers from 8th to 10+2 class educated in age group of 18 to 40 yrs.

Salary ranges would be from Rs 3,600 to Rs 30,000 per month depending upon the qualification, skills and experiences of the candidates.
