Shimla (Aug 27): SJVN Ltd, a public sector unit, today declared Rs 330.93 Cr dividends out of its net profit of Rs 912.13 Cr for financial year 2010-11, company chief managing director RP Singh told media persons.
While addressing a media persons, Singh said that the shareholders have approved the dividend payout in the annual general meeting held on August 26, 2011. Giving financial results for year 2010-11 of SJVN, the CMD said that it has earned profit before tax of Rs 1,156.20 Cr as against Rs 1,017 Cr of previous years. However, due to the higher provisions for tax, that is Rs 244.07 Cr as compared to Rs 44.73 Cr. during the previous year, the net profit got reduced to Rs 912.13 Cr against Rs 972.74 Cr of last year.
