Big Bazaar offers to sell Himachal apple across India

Shimla (Aug 18): Big Bazaar, a leading retail chain in India, has offered Himachal Pradesh to sell its apple in its outlets across India.

Vivek, director, Future Group, said that their outlets had a demand of 5,000 tonnes of garlic, 1,500 tonnes of apple and 12,000 tonnes of potato, which could be met from the agricultural produce of the state immediately.

M/s. Future Group and Associates proposed to market agriculture and horticulture produce of the state in the 250 Big Bazaar outlets across the country soon. Addressing official of horticulture department here today, Chief Minister Dhumal noted that Big Bazaar had offered a special platform for Himachali products by dedicating detailed space in their showrooms nationwide to popularize them on a large scale.
