Anna Hazare finds supporters in Hamirpur



Hamirpur (Aug 16): The arrest of Anna Hazare and his supporters has invited strong reaction among the people of Hamirpur district. As the news of his arrest came, people came on roads and denounced the central government’s action by raising anti-central government slogans.

A large number of students of National Institute of Technology took out a march from the college campus to Gandhi Chowk amid heavy rains extending their full support to Anna’s movement. They were raising pro-Anna slogans and anti-central government slogans.

Anna Hazare supporters led by Avnish Kumar Abbu sat on a dharna at the Gandhi Chowk to extend their support to the civil liberty movement. Abbu described the arrest of Anna Hazare and other leaders as a black spot on the face of Congress party. He told that the agitation started by Anna Hazare would continue and it would end only when demands of Anna were met with in totality.

  1. Its the worst Govt that we have seen, they are more like terrorist, attacking their own people. We say we are free India, but we are still in bondage of corruption. Its a shame to say that we are independent india. But we will not give up on these corrupted and filthy politician, we all will support Anna for this act. Jai Hind!

  3. I meet and talk to hundreds of people each day who extoll and laud Anna Ji for his efforts and are ready to extend support to him but the irony is I hardly see them practice what he is standing for.
