Chamba (Aug 14): Pilgrimage to Manimahesh lake has been suspended due to heavy snowfall, while many pilgrims were stranded when a temporary bridge at Dhanchho was washed away due to snowfall and heavy rainfall in the area.
According to district police chief Madhu Sudan Sharma, the pilgrimage was stopped at Hadsar after death of three pilgrimags due to cold. The district administration rushed public works department labout to clear the landslides to clear the road at Dhamchho but it would take a minimum of two days to clear the way back for pilgrims.
