Dharamshala receives record 151 mm rainfall

Shimla (Aug 7): Despite uneven and scarce monsoon rains across the state over the past 24 hours, the Met office said that Dharmshala got record 151 mm rainfall. Rainfall also occurred at Jogindernagar of Mandi district (143 mm), Saloni in Chamba 37 mm,. Bhuntar 19 mm, Seobagh 11 mm and tourist destination Manali 11 and Shimla 17 mm, respectively.

Minimum temperature in Shimla was 17.6 degree Celsius, Nahan and Sundernagar 23 degrees each, Bhuntar, Mandi and Solan 21 degrees each, Kalpa in Kinnaur and Keylong in Lahaul Spiti 15
degrees each, Dharamshala 19 degrees and Una 24 degrees, respectively.

The Met office said that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in middle and foothills and few places in high reaches during next 24 hours.
