2 washed away by flash floods in Palampur

    Dharamshala (Aug 5): Two people, including a woman, were washed away in flash floods on Thursday between Rampur and Rajerd villages of Palampur sub-division.

    A car carrying three people, who were enroute to village Badroh to attend a general assembly of the panchayat, were trapped in a flash flood and washed away, Sanjeev Chauhan, SDPO, Palampur informed. Bodies of two occupants were recovered from Neelkanth Mahadev, about one km away from the site of accident. The deceased were identified as Chamial Singh, 61, and his sister-in-law Sheela Devi, 55, both residents of Badroh. He said wife of Chamial Singh, who is ward member of the panchayat,
    was rescued.
