Shimla (July 14): Himachal Pradesh government has beefed up security
in major installations after three bomb blast in Mumbai yesterday, a top
police functionary of state said here today.
Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police DS Minhas told media person that all the district police chiefs have been directed to beef up security around major installations. He said that though there is no threat or breech of peace in the state, the step has been taken following terror strikes in Mumbai. Security has been increased around airports, railway stations and bus stands, major shrines, hydropower and industrial projects.
Vigil has been sounded at all state and international border posts to keep an eye on the movement of suspicious elements, especially militancy infested J&K border in Chamba district.
