Prof. A.D.N. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, had a meeting with Ambassador of Syria to India Dr. Riad Kamel Abbas in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest including cooperation in the field of higher education and culture. Dr. Abbas was interested in sending some Syrian students to Shimla to join some professional courses like management, law and information technology in the university. He also said that to strengthen the age old cultural ties between Syria and India, cultural exchange programmes can play a vital role.
