Clear weather in Himachal after a fortnight



Shimla (July 2): Most places in Himachal witness sunshine after a gap of nearly a fortnight as Monsoon slipped into a weak phase in Himachal.

There are report of rainfall at Baldwara in Mandi (28 mm), Guler in Kangra & Kasauli in Solan (12 mm each(, Karsog in Mandi (10 mm), Jubbarhatti in Shimla (7 mm), while tourist resorts Manali and Dharamshala also had 5 mm and 4 mm rainfall, respectively.

Mercury in Shimla dipped slightly as it was low at 14.7 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar in Mandi 21 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 19.5 degrees, and Kalpa in Kinnuar 13 degrees respectively. Dharamshala and Palampur in Kangra had a minimum of 17 degrees each, Una 22 degrees, Mandi 20.5 degrees, Nahan 23.1 degrees, Keylong 9.8 degrees and Solan 18 degrees respectively.

The Met office said that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at
many places in middle hills and few places in plain and high reaches of the state during next 24 hours.
