Six persons stranded in tourism lift



Shimla: Six persons including three tourists were stranded in snagged Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development lift for one hour, owing to a major technical fault, the official said here today.

According to fire brigade official, HPTDC lift carrying six persons suddenly developed a major technical fault when it stopped mid way. The official said that complaint was lodged by Saurav Gautum.  Fire brigade office on the mall received complaint at 1940 and rescue team rushed to rescue the victims.  It is worthwhile mentioning here that HPTDC lift was out of order for couple of days recently for repair, as it had developed similar fault.
