Dharamshala: Two committed suicide in two separate incidents here, police sources disclosed today. In the first incident, a 49-year-old ex-serviceman committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Takraid village of the Dehra subdivision yesterday.
SDPO, Dehra Manmohan Singh said Om Prakash, 49 was all alone in house when he hanged himself from the roof of his room with a chunni. He said his wife and sister had gone out, but when they returned they found all the doors of the house open except one. When they opened the door body of Om Prakash was found hanging. Police said that family feud was said to be the reason for him taking this extreme step. The victim was under depression which ultimately ended in suicide.
In another incident a 55-year-old person Kishori Lal, a resident of Dhanotoo village under Shahpur police station was admitted in RPGMC, Tanda in a critical condition as a poison case late last night. Police said Kishori Lal died in the wee hours this morning without deposing before the police. Police said the reason for his consuming poison was not immediately known. However, investigation was in progress.
