CII Himachal holds workshop on daily work management

Chandigarh (June 1): “Daily Work Management (DWM) is not merely a tool that helps the organization to learn to practice the science of ‘Managing by Facts’. It is a scientific means to realize production quantity and quality to achieve standards of performance,” said Col Amar Bindra while addressing participants at the Workshop on productivity improvement through daily work management organized by CII Himachal Pradesh State Council here in Chandigarh on May 31.

The workshop dwelled upon the importance of daily work mManagement and how it can be formulated and implemented efficiently amongst all levels. DWM was presented as a means by which people assume accountability for realizing their commitments on all measurable objectives. Col Bindra further added that “Daily Work Management is a culture of certain habits which form what we term as the ‘retainment’ phase or the foundation for Total Quality Management (TQM)”.

The workshop provided the participants with an opportunity to understand the principles and practice of Daily Work Management through theory and a case study of DWM. The workshop also enabled the participants to write a DWM for their own roles. Over 55 participants from industries like International Tractors, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Faiveley Transport, Beetel Teletech, Ranbaxy Laboratories, etc. participated in the day long workshop.
