Himachal Congress suspends 8 members

Shimla (May 28): Himachal Pradesh Congress president Kaul Singh Thakur today suspended eight party workers from the primary membership of the party. All of them are said to be close loyalists of Union minister Virbhadra Singh.

The eight Congressmen had allegedly resorted to indiscipline at a meeting of the party held at the Congress office on May 15 in presence of national general secretary Virender Chowdhary. The suspended members are former NSUI state chief Atul Sharma, Avkash Saini, Hussein Ali, Dharampal Thakur, Pratap Kaundal, Harash Sharma, Ram Rattan Sharma and Uday Chand.
