Shimla (May 26): Not withstanding to pressure being mounted on BJP Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Kangra Rajan Sushant by state BJP unit after removing him from party executive body, he has increased his attack against the state government, terming private universities being allowed by the latter in large number as mere shops which would sell degrees to students in the name of higher educations.
While addressing a public gathering at Mandi yesterday, Sushant noted that he was feeling free after being removed from party working body as now he could speak more loudly against the misrule of the present government. He termed that the condition on which private universities were being allowed in the state it is not in favour of education in the hill state.
Indicating more agitation at Jawali in Kangra district shortly, he said that he would not succumbed before any pressure and would continue to raise issues of public interest. Openly supporting local people who were protesting against Hull Hydro Electric Projects (2.35MW) in Chamba district of state, Sushant visited the site extended his unilateral support to them and assured that he would join the dharna if needed.
The state party body has recommended his ouster from the party, but the central leadership appears undecided to take action against him. While replying to a query about the MP’s open tirade against the state government, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal avoided media query by saying that he could not comment on possible action to be taken by the central leadership.
