New transfer policy ready


Shimla: The Cabinet sub-committee constituted for formulating a transfer policy for government employees has finalized the draft and would soon present it before the cabinet.
PWD and Revenue Minister Thakur Gulab Singh while presiding over a meeting of the sub-committee said, “The Cabinet sub-committee has finalized the policy and the same would be presented before the Cabinet soon”.
He said that efforts would be made to set a uniform rule for employees to serve in tribal and difficult areas during their service under the policy and added that interests of various categories of employees would be protected.
Meeting of the sub-committee was attended by Education Minister Ishwar Dass Dhiman and Forest Minister JP Nadda. Various aspects such as serving in difficult and tribal areas and minimum service in rural areas were also discussed in the meeting.
