The central government under JNURM has allocated 34 crores for various developmental schemes for Shimla town, out of which Rs 9.99 crore and Rs 14 crore was under Ahsiana I and II to build 252 and 384 houses for urban poor in Shimla, but MC Shimla gave this money to HIMUDA four years

Chauhan said the state government crossed all limits by shifting Rs 9.99 crore out of this amount to other towns for beautification, defeating the very purpose of this scheme which was meant to provide shelter to poor people.
“Now, the director of National Building Organization in Ministry Of Urban Development has resented this unutilization of funds and even asked to surrender this fund if it cannot be utilized by the state,” he claimed.
