Former UNI veteran journalist passes away



Shimla (May 17): Former UNI journalist and founder of its Shimla center PN Sharma passed away after a short illness at his residence at Nabha here today.

He was 87 and left four daughters behind him and his only son has already passed away. Sharma was suffering from a gastro disorder. He had joined UNI in 1978 after resigning from Northern Railways. After giving 10 years to UNI, he later joined Himachal Times in 1988.

Himachal Pradesh Journalist Association general secretary Ravinder Mukhaik condoled the death of the veteran journalists and said that the state journalists’ fraternity would always remember the outstanding service rendered by him during his 35 years of media carrier.
