Nahan: Ranbir Singh (60) shot his son Shamsher Singh (37) over land dispute at his residence today morning at village Choohi under Renuka Tehsil of Sirmour District on land dispute. After killing his son the accused surrendered at Renuka Police station.
Dy. S.P. Nahan Babita Rani Rana said that the accused went to the house of deceased and asked him why he did not come to attend marriage of his nephew at adjoining village. On this the deceased questioned about the division of land, which turned into hot exchanges and father shot the son with a gun, killing him on the spot. Dy. S.P. Nahan Babita Rani Rana said that police recovered a gun and has registered a case. She said that police has arrested accused under section 302 IPC. The dead body has been sent for postmortem at Nahan.
