Dharamsala: Lieutenant General Vinay Sharma (SM,VSM) took over the command of the newly formed Rising Star Corps at Yol Cantt today in place of Lieutenant General BS Nagal (AVSM,SM).Lt Gen Sharma is a veteran of the 1971 war and has commanded his earlier formations in Jammu And Kashmir. A Himachali by birth, he was commissioned into the Dogra Regiment and has since then held an illustrious profile of command, staff and instructional assignments.
