Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister Kishan Kapoor has said that all Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses will have reserved seats for journalists, as is the case for MPs and MLAs. He said this would save journalists from standing in queues at ticket counters.
The minister also said that the department intends to run its own Volvo buses and the arrangement of driving buses on lease would soon be put to an end. HRTC has also started auctioning about 800 old buses that have run for more than 7 lakh kilometers.
