Shimla: Burgermeisterin mayor Sabine Eckert-Viereckel was on three day tour to Shimla. Sabine Eckert-Viereckel said that this is her maiden visit to this town and she would like to visit again.
Reacting to her short sojourn to this hill state she said that Shimla is full of greenery and heritage “of course pleasant weather really enchanted me.” The local hospitality too impressed the mayor. She said, “The people here are really generous and their warmth has really touched my heart.” From her busy schedule, she spent half of Wednesday in understanding the working of the Municipal Corporation of Shimla. “We shared a number of things regarding working of the local bodies.
We also discuss ways to make Shimla and Burgermeisterin twin cities,” Sabine added. She also said, “Of course, their experience of running the corporation successfully for a population of over two lakh is marvelous. We are providing services to just 6,000 people. Their experience of handling such a huge populace will hugely benefit us.”
Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Shimla Madhu Sood said Sabine’s valuable tips would help to make the town more green and clean.
