Shimla: Kangra tea known for its unique fragrance and flavour has achieved another break through, as Dharmsala Tea Co. has got another distinction after getting ISO (9001:2008) certification, the manager of company informed Himvani.
Manager of Dharamshala Tea Company Aman Pal Singh claimed that is first compnay in the north India, which has got ISO certification. Company was manufacturing 1.20 Lakh Kilogram of Kangra tea from its Dharamshala based tea processing factory having annual turn over of Rs 2 crore. Company has its own three tea estates .i.e. Maan, Hoodle andTowa estate located on the high slopes of beautiful Dholadhar range in Dharmsala tehsil of Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. The company has also been producing different variety of high quality premium teas like Black Orthdox tea, Green tea , Oolong tea, White tea & Formosa Pouchong tea.
Owner of Dharmsala Tea Company GMS Maan has been guiding force in making mark in producing high quality Teas. Due to his innovative ideas the company has been able to export the teas directly to France & Germany by producing high quality teas. “We have our own market in selling packet teas as well. We will be launching Saffron Tea (Kesar ) In near future by having an agreement with Singapore based company Bhahar Industiry limted whic is going to set up its unit at Una district in Himachal Pradesh”, Manager of Dharamshala Tea Company Aman Pal Singh said . He also informed that the company is about to get another international order from France, which was being under execution after successful deal of last year and positive response from the market about Kangra tea.
